The Disciple Curriculum Logo

The Bible can be an overwhelming book of names, places, doctrines, stories, and time lines. By God‘s perfect design, his Word comes to us from a “great cloud of witnesses“ who all testify to his glory and power. Sometimes it‘s hard to hear the simplicity in the grand chorus of voices in Scripture. But the simplicity is there, and The Disciple Curriculum will help you find it, and teach it, and love it.

Jesus never said you need a seminary degree to become a disciple. But you do need to learn his Word. It‘s the seed that bears fruit. It‘s a simple seed, packed with power, and rooted in the stories of the Old and New Testaments.

Each year, the curriculum tells the biblical story of redemption with Jesus Christ as the hero. You‘ll start with the Old Testament and learn how God prepared his people for Christ, then, at the climax of the story, you‘ll see how Christ fulfilled all that was spoken by God in the Old Testament. By learning the story, you and your students will learn to read the Bible as it was intended to be read–not as merely as a collection of moral rules or wise sayings but as the life-giving story of Jesus Christ.

Year 1: The Creator Jesus Christ is the second Adam from whom is born a whole new creation.

Year 2: The Shepherd-King Jesus Christ is the Anointed King from David‘s house whose kingdom endures forever and fills the whole earth.
